§ 2-251. Appointment; term of office.

  • (a)

    The council may appoint a municipal attorney who shall be a lawyer of good and reputable standing, a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and admitted to practice law in this state.

    (b)

    He shall hold office at the pleasure of the council.

    (c)

    He need not be a resident of the municipality.
